Teaching is involved in all activities at Bald Mountain Retreat, hiking, food preparation, sitting around the campfire.... Informally and in formal seminars learning is what we do. Our goal is to provide you with a healthy, conscious lifestyle that you will practice home. Therefore, we incorporate awareness into the daily acts of living, rather than concentrate them into special times... although there are plenty of special times. Dr David is your attentive, accessible, entertaining guide throughout.
As the day's schedule is set to meet your preferences and needs, a typical day at Bald Mountain Retreat is not typical. Still, a sample schedule follows:
7:00-9:00 dew walking, yoga, meditation, jumping in the pond
10:00-12:00 seminar, therapy, hike, meadow stroll, all of the above or other activity
12:00-1:00 lunch (food prep/nutritional counseling)
1:00-3:00 therapy, massage, trip to Lake Willoughby, hike up Bald Mountain
3:00-5:00 seminar, journaling, gardening, wild mushroom-picking, nature/herb walk
5:00-6:00 sweat/sauna, private time
6:00-7:00 dinner (food prep/nutritional counseling)
7:00- wandering, chatting, communing, seminar, campfire (corn-popping), star-watch

We are flexible. Our small number of guests allows us to customize each guest's retreat experience, paying great attention to your requirements and preferences. You may come and go as you please, and we'll be happy to help guide your day, a lot or a little, as you like. We love to host. We're here for you.
