The safety of vaccinations is hotly debated. Giving vaccines in the first year of life when the infant is establishing its own immune system (having relied on its mother's in the womb) is certainly not without risk. The only reasons many vaccines are given at three months is for parental compliance. Delaying certain vaccines past three months (for example, tetanus) until the infant (and its immune system) is stronger is advisable.
